A lot of time and energy is being spent developing our new web site and it still needs work. Do we show everything about our technology and capabilities or only the basics? It's a tough question to answer because we know many of our clients, colleagues, and associates don't just work with us because of the product offering posted on the web site or the nice pictures we show. They work with us because they have a problem and we deliver the solution. How we deliver the final solution and the nature of the design will depend on the project requirements and the business relationship.
As a result, we're going live with the new web site even though there is information that is missing and pages that need to be developed for future use. We ask for your patience while we develop the site further and continue to grow the business. Ultimately, it is you that we are serving and our interaction with you is direct via face-face meetings and phone/email exchanges. We hope you find the web site useful and welcome your comments and thoughts on how to improve it.

We started this business 3 years ago during one of the toughest economic times in recent history. It seemed like everyone I knew was either losing their job or impacted by the downturn. I got laid off, my brother got laid off, my friends started to lose their jobs, the news reports were scaring everyone, foreclosures everywhere, businesses disappearing almost daily and no more money coming into the local economy. Looking back I often say that I was nuts to start this business when no one was buying. But we're still here and growing! Check out our new office location!

Who are we and why are we in the heat sink and thermal management business?
We are 2 partners with an axe to grind. Both of us helped grow businesses for other people only to be laid off when the economy turned or ignored for the contributions to the companies we worked for. Don't get me wrong, I'm not mad because I understand the general rules of the game we play in. What we want is to control our own destiny, play the ‘business game' with our rules, enjoy time with our family and friends, have fun while working really hard at something we enjoy.
As we studied the market for heat sinks and thermal management solutions we learned very quickly that there was a void in the market for straight talking, no bull, simply get it done type of entrepreneurs. Our first few clients were our friends. They trusted us with the ‘in-side' scoop about what was happening in the market. We learned that what most people want from a heat sink vendor is simply deliver the parts as promised and stop making excuses for requiring minimum orders, over priced tooling, production delays, shipping delays, poor quality, and on and on the list goes. Are we perfect? No. Have we delivered on our promises? Yes! The difference is we make it easy and simple for our clients. We provide great product, great service, unique ideas and a commitment to simply get it done.
Naming the company: What name would you come up with for a heat sink and thermal management business? Would you incorporate the phrase ‘therm' or ‘cool' or some reference to a thermal parameter in the name? No too long ago there was a company in Canada with the name "R-Theta' (I guess it worked because they were purchased by a larger company) . The naming of the company was an interesting exercise. We expected to work hard and earn our customers trust and business. But why not make it fun too? What about ‘2 Guys Heat Sinks'? or ‘Heat Sink R Us'? or ‘Best Damn Heat Sink Company'? Why should we try to sound and look like everyone else? We decided on "Bad Boys of Heat Sinks" because it offers a chance to build some personality into the business and our client relationships. Do we ride Harleys and walk around with leather chaps? Not really - but maybe we should. Do we show off our oversized tattoos and have MOM written across our arms? Not really - my wife will kill me. What we do have is an aggressive attitude, a fun mentality, no excuses and great relationships. Of course, what CEO or purchasing manager is going to sign off on a purchase order to "Bad Boys of Heat Sinks"? So we use BBHS Thermal Solutions Corp as our introduction when we first meet new clients and then earn the trust and confidence that only a true Bad Boy deserves.
What will we post?
Our goal is to amuse you and try not to be too serious. There are many places on the internet to get good technical information so we may provide links to some sources we think are helpful. I hope we can introduce some new ideas that may be helpful - or allow you to share your experiences and ideas. Maybe we'll show some pictures or videos of our work in the community and try to keep this light and fun. We would like to encourage you to join our ‘giving back to the community' program. Simply stated: You send us an order, 5% goes to your favorite charity - bang! How's that for being different! Are you a little league coach? Do you help with the Special Olympics? Do you volunteer or walk for a cause? Call for details!
I look forward to your replies.
